SPRINGBROOK SPORTSMEN’S CLUB is offering WISCONSIN CONCEALED CARRY CLASSES

1pm to 4pm at Springbrook Sportsmen’s Club

Class size is limited to first 30 students

COST $80 (cash or personal check only) a $20 deposit is requested

This non-shooting 3-hour class will provide you with the necessary training to obtain your WI Concealed Carry License (per Wis. Stats. 175.60(4)). Proof of training will be handed out at the end of the class. There is no test in this course. You must be 21 years old to apply for the license.

The class is taught by Mark Stromme and Patrick Stromme. Both are National Rifle Association (NRA) Instructors in the following credentialed NRA courses: Certified Pistol, Home Firearm Safety, and Personal Protection in the Home. In addition, they both hold the Range Safety Officer and Chief Range Safety Officer Instructor credentials.

NOTE: This is not an NRA class and is not associated with the NRA. This course is designed to meet the WI Department of Justice training requirements for the WI concealed carry license.

The class will cover:

·         Firearm safety basics

·         Types of handguns—revolver and pistol

·         Safe carry of firearms— different ways to carry concealed: holsters, purse carry, etc.

·         WI legal implications of concealed carry weapons—where you can carry & self-defense (use of deadly force)

·         WI Castle Doctrine Law

·         WI concealed carry license (forms, etc.)

Please be aware that the cost of the class does not include the $50 license fee that must be sent with the application and proof of training to the WI Department of Justice. There will be no student handguns or ammunition allowed in the Springbrook Clubhouse. The Instructors will be using unloaded (triple checked) handguns for demonstration purposes only.
